Stay Fit And Young With A Body Cleansing Diet

Nearly everyone wants not only to stay fit but feel and look young too. But if we harbor the daily toxin intake which all of us are subjected to, our body can never become truly 'clean' which is the real secret behind rejuvenation of the body and stay fit and young. But the good news is that you do not have to depend on any expert to design a body cleansing diet as it is simple to do it yourself. Read on and you would know how.

Come to think of it, we are living in a time when whatever we use, eat or drink inevitably contains significant amounts of toxic material. Obviously when we expose our body and our internal system to these toxins for an extended period of time, there would be a natural degeneration of our health leading to strange disease, aches and pains. Thus if you want to remain healthy, irrespective of what types of foods are included in your diet plan, you need, what is known as a detox diet which actually enables your body to get rid of the harmful toxins, staying at the root of all disease conditions. The sad news is that most of the detox diets which people talk about have not been tested for medical and health efficacy. Take the example of Mastercleanse diet, on of the most famous detox diets available, has been famous for one reason â€" that is particularly harmful to the body as it requires the user to remain on lemon juice or maple syrup for 10 days. This may sound funny to you and incidentally it is but there have been some people who have followed this diet plan, at the risk of something very fundamental to keeping good health â€" it failed to improve the body metabolism. As we all know when we go on starvation diets, it ultimately lowers the body's metabolic rate and can do irreparable damage to the internal systems. You would much rather stay away from such gimmicky detox diets if you want to remain healthy and fit.

However the good news is that you can design your own detox diet or body cleansing diet which would not lower your metabolism and you definitely need not pay any heed to the unethical promotions carried on by equally unethical marketers. The first thing you ought to remember when you design your own body cleansing diet is that you would never deprive your body of the essential nutritional intake. In stead of limiting your food intake, let us look at the more crucial aspect of foods, that of toxicity. Thus the foods which contain the least amount of toxins should be selected. An example that comes to mind are organic foods, but then organic foods these days also contain toxins due to pollution in the air, soil and water. Next, select foods which are more alkaline in nature. The optimal pH level of our body is more alkaline and our foods are acidic by design. So when you increase your intake of alkaline foods you can neutralize the acidic content. Mainly green vegetables are alkaline in nature so you know what to include in your diet plan. Lastly, select foods which are easily digestible and absorbable by the body. Red meat and some high fat-containing foods are difficult to digest and hence difficult to absorb too. The last but never the least important aspect for cleansing the body is to have regular and healthy bowel movements. Have laxatives at least once a week if you want to get rid of all the harmful toxins in the body which accumulates over a period of time.
